Portugal’s Vimieiro Distillery has appointed veteran Scotch maker Kenny Maclean as master distiller. With more than a decade of technical expertise, Maclean played a pivotal role in establishing the Isle of Harris Distillery . He later led the commissioning of a new single malt distillery on the Isle of Benbecula .
An Isle of Harris native, he will now lead the creation of the Arraiolos-based Vimieiro Distillery’s single malt whisky.
